If you are asked for FTP details during an update, add your panel's FTP details under Settings → App Update → Add FTP/SFTP details and then try again. These details will be used while updating the panel and while installing and updating addons.
This used to be done by adding the details in the config.php file. But as of version 2.3.2, it should be done under Settings.
